Wayne Junction Station Interpretive Signage
- Project Name: Wayne Junction Station Interpretive Signage
- Project Client: SEPTA
- Project Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The project involved renovations to a historic train station located along the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad and within the Germantown Historic District in Philadelphia. As part of the mitigation for adverse effects to this historic property, A.D. Marble developed a series of seven interpretive and information signs. Our designers and historians worked closely with SEPTA and various stakeholders, including Historic Germantown, to develop compelling and relevant content that shares Germantown’s past and highlights the outstanding cultural experience visitors can expect to have in the area. The signage layouts included historic and modern images, station drawings, and maps; and reinforced Historic Germantown’s brand by incorporating the type styles, colors, and icons used throughout their marketing materials.
