Currently open positions at A.D. Marble:

A.D. Marble is seeking a senior NEPA specialist with a minimum of 15 years of experience to fill a full-time position. This position would also include project management responsibilities. This position allows for a flexible/hybrid work environment. Responsibilities include managing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) components of projects, including, but not limited to, wetland/stream delineations and assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys, NEPA documentation, Section 4(f) evaluations, waterway permit applications, cultural resources, waste evaluations, and noise studies. Knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements for a broad range of environmental subject areas, including NEPA, Section 4(f), and Section 106, is required. Must have experience presenting at public meetings, virtual meetings, and stakeholder meetings. Must have experience managing budgets and contracts, and in business development, including writing proposals and cost estimates, meeting with prospective clients, and developing client relationships. Duties may include:

  • Managing multiple projects with multi-disciplinary tasks;
  • Preparing and conducting QA/QC of various technical documents;
  • Preparing proposals and cost estimates;
  • Developing client relationships; and
  • Working with environmental scientist Levels I and II to help develop their technical skills.

 

Skills and abilities should include:

  • B.S. degree in botany, biology, environmental science, or related discipline;
  • M.S. degree in a related discipline is a plus;
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, take initiative, and work in a team environment.

A.D. Marble is seeking a part-time technical editor. This position allows for a flexible/hybrid work environment.

A.D. Marble is a full-service environmental consulting firm looking for an individual that is well suited for its team atmosphere and capable of assisting employees in other departments when needed. Candidate must be a highly motivated editor capable of editing technical documents to The Chicago Manual of Style standards and to the specific standards of the company. Candidate must have the ability to adapt their formatting skills to accommodate different writing styles and formats, maintain consistency, and deliver highly detailed quality work. Must be able to create graphic elements of reports using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator; efficiently produce reports in PDF format; assist graphic designer in creating and revising report graphics; multitask during a fluctuating and busy report production schedule; and assist in the production of marketing materials, such as proposals, brochures, and display boards.  Proficiency in MS Word and Excel and experience with Adobe Photoshop is also required.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

This is a part-time position.
