I-70 Widening - North Junction to SR 0136
- Project Name: I-70 Widening - North Junction to S.R. 0136
- Project Client: PennDOT District 12-0
- Project Location: South Strabane Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania
The project includes the reconfiguration of the Exit 19, S.R. 0019 Murtland Avenue interchange to eliminate the current “cloverleaf” configuration and provide a divergent diamond-type interchange. The project also includes the widening of the existing ramp from I-70 westbound to I-79 northbound at Exit 18 to provide two lanes.
A.D. Marble work efforts were part of a District Wide Construction Management contract to provide “as needed” Construction Management Support Services for the project. A.D. Marble provided construction consultation services during the construction of the S.R. 0070, Section T20 – I-70 Widening – North Junction to S.R. 0136. Our involvement focused upon the environmental services associated with: waterway permit conditions; erosion and sedimentation control interpretation/overview; special conditions interpretation within the waterway permit; Environmental Commitments and Mitigation Tracking System (ECMTS) review with the construction team; and post-construction stormwater management overview.
A.D. Marble participated in monthly erosion and sedimentation control pre-inspection walk-throughs to advise PennDOT and the construction contractor of items that should be addressed to keep the project in compliance with applicable regulations. The results and recommendations of the walk-throughs were documented in the PennDOT ECMS system through the preparation of a Project Site Activities report. A.D. Marble attended erosion and sedimentation control inspections conducted by the Washington County Conservation District.
A.D. Marble also reviewed the project for compliance with the Environmental Commitments and Mitigation Tracking System (ECMTS) form and Chapter 104/404 permits.
