In support of the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Pollinator Initiative, AD Marble (ADM) is developing and monitoring pollinator sites at their administrative buildings, interchanges, travel plazas, and maintenance facilities. In addition, ADM has implemented the Turnpike’s Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management (IRVM) program at two pilot maintenance sheds to improve the management of vegetation within their right-of-way (ROW), reduce greenhouse gas emissions and operating costs, while creating more aesthetically pleasing and higher functioning landscapes.
Services Provided:
- Staff presentations to advocate for pollinator initiatives
- Developing materials for internal and external public relations
- Monitoring and implementing corrective action, including herbicide treatments for invasive species incursions, in pollinator habitat plots
- Coordinating survey protocols using Survey123 application
