The Chester Creek Trail connector involved the assessment of alternative trail alignments in the City of Chester to link Eyre Park to the East Coast Greenway at Route 291. The project study’s goal was to create a multi-use trail that links residents to the city’s natural, cultural, and socioeconomic assets. In addition, the project included an objective to identify ways to increase the resilience of the community within the coastal zone and explore opportunities to enhance coastal wetlands along Chester Creek for wildlife habitat, flood control, water quality, and environmental diversity.
