and Determination of Effects Reports. Individuals should be familiar
with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).
A Bachelor's Degree in Preservation, Archaeology, Anthropology,
History, or a related field is preferred. A Master's Degree may
be necessary for certain positions.

This position requires a B.A. or B.S. in Anthropology or a related field and at least one year of field experience. The immediate need will be for projects local to our Conshohocken office, and no per diem will be provided. As a consequence any candidates will have to be local to the area or to our Conshohocken office.

Senior Architectural Historian/Preservation Planner - Conshohocken, PA
Join our dedicated team of Cultural Resources Specialists, including Architectural Historians, Archaeologists and Historians. A.D. Marble & Company provides a wide variety of cultural resources services, including Section 106 documentation, NEPA documentation and Section 4(f) Evaluations, and National Register nominations.
A.D. Marble & Company is seeking a Senior Architectural Historian to carry out Section 106 related studies across the Mid-Atlantic region. Candidates should have a MA or MS degree in Architectural History, Historic Preservation or a closely related field, and five years of professional work experience. Candidates with a BA, strong preservation training, and at least seven years of professional work experience will also be considered. This position will work out of the Conshohocken office.
The ideal candidate will have experience conducting historic structure and landscape surveys and completing documentation related to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the National Environmental Policy Act. This should include experience preparing a variety of report types, including but not limited to National Register nominations, Historic Structures Report, Preservation Plans, Federal Tax Credit Applications, and HABS/HAER documentations.
The position requires knowledge of Mid-Atlantic regional architectural history; photography; management of multiple projects; interaction with clients, government agencies and the public; and ability to work in a team atmosphere. Excellent research, writing, proofreading, and editing skills are essential. Supervisory experience is preferred.
The position will require some travel in the Mid-Atlantic States. This is a full-time regular position, with benefits. The position location is to be determined. The associated salary is commensurate with experience. The position will remain open until filled.
